Instructor

Aanal has more than 10 years of experience teaching dance to kids of all ages.  She has worked as a pre-school teacher and also as a dance and cultural activities teacher in India.  She taught kids from grades 1 – 12 and led her teams to winning several state and regional competitions.

Growing up in Gujarat in a family where dance and music were a mainstay, she got into dancing at a very early age.  She learned Garba from her mother and went on to learn other forms of dancing.  She trained in the classical Kuchipudi dance from Smt. Radha Menon.  She also learnt various folk dances of India from Mallika Sarabhai’s Darpana Academy.  Then she went to learn modern contemporary and indo-western fusion dances from Shiamak Davar’s dance institute.

She has an M.Ed. degree in e-Learning and Instructional Design from George Mason Universiy and worked at the Nature Conservancy for a couple of years.

She has 2 young boys and is now pursuing her real passion in life – teaching dance.

She sincerely hopes you will stop by to meet her at a Free Trial Class.
