Who is this workshop for?

This workshop is open to dancers ages 10+, including beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels who are passionate about learning Lavani or exploring BollyLavani—a unique blend of Bollywood and classical Indian dance styles.

Do I need prior experience in Lavani?

No prior experience is required. The sessions are designed to be accessible while still offering depth and technique for experienced dancers.

​

What will I learn in the workshop?

Participants will learn:
   •  Authentic Lavani techniques and expressions (abhinaya)
   •  Signature choreography by Ashish Patil
   •  Musicality, grace, and stage presence
   •  A fusion style combining Bollywood and Lavani

​

What are the workshop options?

You can choose from:
   •  BollyLavani (Shararat) – A high-energy Bollywood + Lavani fusion session
   •  Lavani (Madan Manjari) – A deeper dive into traditional Lavani technique and expression

Participants may register for one or both sessions.

​

What should I wear?

We recommend wearing a traditional Nauvari saree if you’re comfortable.

If not, you may opt for:
   •  Any flowy skirt with a fitted top
   •  We prefer shades of RED (Friday) and GREEN (Saturday) to match the aesthetic of the workshop

No ghungroos are required.

Will there be a performance opportunity?

These are training-based workshops focused on learning and experience. Participants may get a chance to record the final choreography for personal use.

​

Will I get to interact with Ashish Patil?

Yes! The workshop is highly interactive, giving participants the opportunity to learn closely and engage with Ashish Patil’s teaching style.
A photo opportunity will also be available.

Is there limited capacity?

Yes, spots are limited to ensure a high-quality learning experience. Early registration is strongly recommended.

Are refunds allowed?

All registrations are non-refundable. Transfers may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
